Up on the Emo’s stage before a sold out crowd, ELOHIM is a one-woman song shop –the lone siren songstress sang and made beautiful melodies with a myriad of buttons at her fingertips (there seemed to be a synth/midi looper and a drum pad). Not only armed with a voice that leads the lyrics from sad to joyous at the casual flip of the tempo, her harmonies take us on a walk/run through all kinds of emotions. While she tweeted: “production tip – press buttons until it sounds cool,” her production exemplifies meticulously mastered hooks that keep even the most squirrel brained entranced from beginning to end.

The multi-talented MOBLEY performed a spectacular show at Emo’s for 101x’s Indie Xmas! The recent Black Fret grant winner was quite at home on the huge stage. MOBLEY even brought his very intimate living drum machine, where four audience members are transformed with wristbands and electrical magic. MOBLEY’s one-man electro-pop filled the room and got asses moving to some of the best new music. Be sure to catch Mobley any chance you get!

Written and Photos by Bang Ho Lizzo brought the Emo’s crowd to her Church of Feelin’ Myself. All she needed was a DJ, her backing dancers dubbed the Big Girls, and her amazing voice. She may be a rapper by trade, but she was very much at home singing slow jams and body positive pop…

Written by Bang Ho Everclear certainly embodies 90s rock, but they showed their range at Emo’s last night with songs that ran the gamut between grunge, alt, and pop rock. Regardless of what genre they’re categorized in, the one thing that is certain is that they still know how to rock on their “So Much for…
